Everlasting Consolation “Who hath loved us, and given us everlasting consolation, and good hope through grace.”—2 THESS. 2:16 IT is both of the Father and of the Son that the apostle speaks. The love of Godhead is what he presents to us. “He loved us;” and hence the name which we get is, “Beloved of God.” (Rom. 1:7.) He loved us, and gave His Son for us.
